Learning Manager is the basic module in all Composite E-learning solutions.
E-learning is often built around a number of ”steps” or ”semesters” that employees and course participants will have to complete in a certain order.
Each semester may be completed with a test or an exam that will decide if the employee is allowed to proceed to the following semester.
Via the E-learning Manager, the education coordinator may structure the training program and determine which employees or group of employees, are to go through which training program, semesters and tests and in which order.
Semester management. Allows you to design which semesters are to be used, in which order etc. This ensures, for example, that an employee is not granted access to a semester before completing the preceding semester. With the semester management the education program is planned.
Content Management. Allows you to determine the content of each semester for each group of employees or even for each individual employee. It is here you place those tests that are to be used in the semester, elaborating texts, video clips, product data, professional articles, instructions, illustrations etc. The creating and placing of content for each semester, including video clips and so forth, is done exactly as updating websites in Composite’s administration module without any programming.
Personalization. You may place different contents and tests in the same semester depending on the employee logging on so that each semester is different for each group of employees. Each employee can, at any time, check his or her status in the E-learning program. This includes what tests I have done, how I did, what are my strengths and weaknesses, how do I improve etc. A personalized navigation menu and a personalized sitemap are automatically generated, showing only what each individual employee has access to. In this way each employee or group of employees can have a personal training program.
Time management. Is used to fix the time allotted to complete each semester. Each employee can, at any time, view how many days he or she has to complete the semester.
Exam/Diploma. The educational coordinator may, via the administration module, establish that all or certain tests in the semester are to be passed before a semester is considered passed. A diploma for a passed semester can be generated, including the possibility of a printed version.
User Statistics. Gives the course coordinator an overview of how far each employee has come in the academy. In addition, it may provide a complete overview of the answer/result statistics from each separate test. This overview allows you, among other things, to see:
The course coordinator can view the statistics of each department and employees may compare their results with those of their colleagues. The course coordinator may use this statistic to se if employees are using the E-learning solution, what parts they use the most, in what areas users do best/worst, what tests or specific questions are to difficult/easy etc.
In this way the result statistics become an important tool in the hand of the course coordinator, when identifying the need for adjusting the e-learning solution or identifying the need for combining the e-learning solution with traditional instruction within specific areas.
Learning Manager works with the user administration module that controls what employees have access to the e-learning solution, what employee groups they belong to and what access rights they have.
